Intended Use
Miniaturized methods using culture in liquid media (most
probable number) for the detection and enumeration of E.
coli and enterococci in bathing, surface, and waste water
(ISO 7899-1 and ISO 9308-3). |

The MU/EC and MU/SF microplates Principle
|
| |
Based on the
detection of a specific substrate present in dehydrated
form in the microplate wells. In the presence of the enzyme,
the substrate releases a fluorescent compound that is visible
under ultraviolet light (366 nm). |
| DSM (special
microplate diluent) and EDS (distilled water for microplates)
for water-sample dilutions before inoculation of the microplates
are available in ready-to-use format for the simultaneous
inoculation of both E. coli and enterococci microplates.
The sample dilutions are performed in 18 ml ready- to-use
diluent tubes in the same proportion as usual and the same
series of dilutions is used for the 2 microplate inoculations
(E. coli and enterococci). |
