Model V16-2型聚丙烯酰胺凝膠垂直電泳儀
　 Designed for the separation of analytical and semi-preparative quantities of proteins in 17 x 15 cm polyacrylamide (PAGE) gels. Model V16-2
  • Runs 1 or 2 gels simultaneously
  • Neoprene gasket provides leak-free assembly
  • Fits gels of different thickness with straight or notched glass plates

Model V16-2 Gel Electrophoresis apparatus represents a basic solid standard concept of native or SDS-PAGE vertical polyacrylamide gel (slab-gel) electrophoresis that is only available in the USA or in countries where the CE mark is not required (unit is not CE certified). The vertical twin-gel electrophoresis apparatus is supplemented by a complete selection of accessories and replacement parts, including an external gel casting system.

Model V16-2 is a simplified version for electrophoresis of one or two 17 x 15 cm (W x L) vertical gels simultaneously. It is only available for the US market or for countries where the CE mark is not required (unit is not CE certified). The apparatus allows the separation of up to 40 samples on 0.8 mm, 1.5 mm or 3 mm thick gels.

The V16-2 is the system of choice for laboratories with medium sample throughput but the need of long running distances or large sample volumes (up to 4,000 µl).

It is recommended to use Gel Casting Clamps for simple, leak-free casting of gels. This allows casting of single gels in a fraction of the time of the "conventional" tape or grease and binder clip methods.
